A bit more about the Hike for Health
The Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation is grateful to the organizing committee planning this new event,
including Cobourg’s Deputy Chief of Police Dave Cromlish who spearheaded the idea. Last July 1st, Dave
personally launched the 100 Pound Challenge ~ No Cop Out with the goal of losing 100 pounds in one year
and adopting a healthier lifestyle. As of February 17th, Dave is exercising daily, eating better and has lost an
amazing 88.5 pounds. He now understands the importance of living healthier for himself and his family
and he wants to encourage others to get active. This walk is one way to do so.
One of Dave’s newest goals is to complete a 100 kilometre hike on June 18th and 19th of this year. He is
hoping others will join him for part of the hike on June 19th in Northumberland Forest. The Hike for Health
– No Cop Out! ~ will include hikes of various lengths on that day, including 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and 20 km.
Every participant will receive an official Hike for Health t-shirt, a hike kit.
